It’s Friday again! I can’t believe how quickly these weeks are flying by! I only have 5 weeks left!Usually by now I am counting down the days… but this year I feel like the end is coming WAY too quickly! I need more time to finish things! LOL!
Here’s five randoms from my week (if you follow me on Instagram @ AppliciousTeacher… you may already know what I’ve been up to! :))
1. Earth Day Art Projects
Monday was Earth Day. I thought it was a great time to pull out the paint and get messy! Inspired by a few things I saw on Pinterest, we made these adorable “I Promise” Earth paintings. We, of course, finished them off with glitter. Everything is better with glitter! 🙂 You can read more about this activity here and grab the free resource while you’re there!
2. Life Cycles
We are finishing up our unit on life cycles. As a closing activity, students had to create a life cycle poster of an animal and write about each stage in it’s life cycle. I love how many students chose to illustrate and write about animals we did not learn about in class. Instead, they raided my library in search of animal books for reference! Proud teacher moment!
3. Four Months?! Where’d the Time Go?
Earlier this week, I took the day off to bring my little nugget to his four month appt. He is growing and developing just how he should be. I loved being able to spend the day with him. Bonus: I got to go to my FAVORITE place for lunch! (Yeah, that’s gauc piled high.. jealous? LOL!)
4. ICE CREAM!
I’ve found the MOST delicious ice cream at Target this week. I am currently OBSESSED!!! (like I ate 3 containers already obsessed…) I’ve had to give up all dairy because my little peanut is allergic and it has be really hard for this former self proclaimed fro-yo junkie! LOL! This SO Delicious stuff is made from coconut milk and it lives up to it’s name!
