Five for Friday- YAY!

Share this post:

It’s Friday guys! YAY!
(Seriously…. Seriously…)
We’ve had a busy week, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to link up with Doodle Bugs for Five for Friday.
1. Sick Puppy
My poor baby girl, Molly (first born!) has slipped a disc in her back. 🙁 Her back legs and her tail are currently paralyzed. It is so hard to watch her suffer, but with strict kennel rest and medicine, she’s been feeling better with each passing day!
She even received some “get well” cards in the mail this week wishing her a speedy recovery!
If there are any other Doxie lovers who’ve gone through this, I would love to hear about your experience.
2. Speedy Pack and Stack..

For the past few weeks we’ve been *struggling* with packing and stacking at the end of day in an orderly and timely manner…so I did the only thing I could think of to help “speed” things along… I set my timer…
My BIG timer to be exact.
(You can check that out here on Amazon-seriously live by this thing!)
I challenged my students with a 6 minute pack and stack time. If all students could be down on carpet after they’ve packed up and facing my white board, I would put  a class compliment  fuzzy in the jar. Guess what?! It worked!  The next day, we moved down to 5, and now we are at 3 minutes for packing and stacking! That is down from 10 minutes, folks!
So now… my afternoons look like this…

#3 Compound Word Success!

Earlier this week, I blogged about a fun little activity I made to help my kiddos with compound words. Well, we finally had the chance to put “Bloomin’ Compound Words” to the test and it was a success! You can grab this activity for free here in my TpT Store.
#4. Not So Patiently Waiting…

So of course I am in love with my newest Stitch Fix buy, this comfy soft grey and black stripped bat sleeve sweater. It is not anything I would ever consider buying in the store, but it is my current “go to” piece for weekends. Now I am *not* so patiently awaiting the arrival of my newest fix… COME ON March! Try it for your self! Warning… it is addicting!
