If you’re a Florida teacher, then you’ve been immersed in FCAT this week. Although I teach 2nd grade (grades 3-5 are testing years) we’ve been feeling the “pinch” of testing this week because we have a 4th grade room right next door! We spent the week whispering, walking like bunnies, and working on LOTS of “quiet” work! Needless to say, it was a very challenging week…
I am just thankful for my Busy Teacher Packet from Katie King. Her activities saved the day on more than one occasion this week!
It was the perfect afternoon activity for a very quiet and still morning!
3. Holy Tadpoles, Batman!
get to observe the life cycle of a tree frog first hand! Last week was Space, this week it’s Life Cycles! We’ve been learning about how ALL kinds of animals move through their life cycle. We used Amy’s Butterflies and Frogs Unit as a supplement.
My kiddos LOVED making the frog hats and butterfly plates!
The Applicious Teacher is now on Instagram! I am currently obsessed with this little app. I love seeing little tid-bits of other teacher’s day! Check me out @appliciousteacher
(No judging my picture… babies keep you up late! LOL!)
