Now, don’t be jealous, but I am one of those lucky teachers that gets to teach for two days this week! ๐ Oh, and did I mention one of those is an early release day? So, today we were BUSY! BUSY! BUSY! Downtime is a dangerous thing in crazy times like these. To help keep us engaged, I reworked a few of my lesson and converted them to lots of group work with sprigs of fun thrown in! One of those lessons was a rework of some extra practice we needed for division. Let’s dive into this fun division activity!
I Spy Division Activity
In math, we’ve been working on simple division. As a review for this concept, I whipped up a fun, “I Spy” game for my kiddos to complete with a buddy.
Before letting my thirds loose on these fun cards, we did a quick review of key vocabulary (dividend, divisor, and quotient) as well as how division and multiplication are related.
After the quick review, we were ready to go on a division hunt! I hung all the cards up randomly though-out the room and let kiddos loose.
They had a blast working in pairs and groups of three to solve the division problems.
