Can you believe Thanksgiving is only a few short weeks away?
Where has the time gone?
In my book, it is never too early to start working on Thanksgiving crafts (or any seasonal crafts for that matter) and organizing our class Feast! The hope is that if I start planning early, then I won’t have to stress out at the end.. right? {Please just nod your head yes!}
I started pulling together all my crafts, activities, and centers that I will be using for the next few weeks.  Let’s just say we will definitely have our fill of turkeys, Pilgrims, and Native Americans!
In English/Language Arts we are focusing in on turkeys! Some books well be enjoying include:
Turkey Trouble by Wendi Silvano

and
10 Fat Turkeys by Tony Johnston and Rich Deas

But my FAVORITE Thanksgiving Book is
If you don’t have access to this book, I did find an online reading on YouTube
(Click here to check that out!)

After reading, “T’was the Night Before Thanksgiving”, the kiddos are writing a persuasive essay to their families convincing them to eat something OTHER than turkey for Thanksgiving.

We’ll be using my “No Turkey for Thanksgiving” Writing Craftivity to take us through the writing process!

We’ll publish our writings on these little guys! Too cute!

(You can grab these cuties in my “No Turkey for Thanksgiving Writing Craftivitiy”)

For centers, I’ve got the amazingly talented Katie King‘s newest center pack,  Pilgrim Party!

Which is seriously *PACKED* to the brim with fun Thanksgiving themed centers for not only reading, but also math!

AND THAT isn’t even all of them!

To help me out in Social Studies, I’ve got Leslie Hamlin’s new Native American Pack!

We’re going to use her pack to guide us through Native Americans and into Pilgrims next week.

I can’t wait for my kiddos to make this ADORABLE little papoose!

Whew! I am exhausted just looking at all this! It’s amazing products like these that make learning exciting and engaging and keep me excited about teaching!

Now… here’s the kicker…

I’ve convinced these ladies to let me give away one of each of these amazing products to help you prepare for Thanksgiving in your classroom!

For your chance to enter, just check out the rafflecopter below! Giveaway runs from today until Weds Nov. 13th at midnight. I will draw and announce a winner on Thursday. Best of luck!

  1. Hi Leigh!
Just wondering if there's any chance I could just have the turkey template part. I've been looking everywhere on Pinterest and TPT for a cute turkey template (the one holding the paper) and I just love yours. I know it comes within your No Turkey packet but I just had to ask in case you could just send me the template.
    Thanks 🙂
