Five Genius Anchor Chart Storage Solutions

1. Garment Rack with Hangers

A garment rack with hangers will rescue your anchor charts from the chaos! Not only does it bring a touch of order to your classroom, but it’s a game-changer for accessibility. Imagine effortlessly flipping through charts like browsing your favorite fashion collection – quick, easy, and always on point.

Plus, no more crumpled charts or desperate searches! You can grab a garment rack from any local store, such as Target, Walmart, or my favorite, Amazon!

I’m sorta loving this black one from Amazon! (Oh, and it’s cheap!)

And here are some hanger suggestions, too!

Bonus Tip! Label your anchor charts with general categories and clip all those together. Makes it super simple to grab what you need year after year! Thanks for the tip, Shannon from Life Between Summers!

2. Rolled with Labels using a Wrapping Paper Box

I absolutely love being able to repurpose things I already have lying around! Wrapping paper boxes or even kitchen trash cans will be your unsung hero in the quest for anchor chart storage! All you need to do is roll up your charts, toss them in, and add some label love. You no longer have to play chart hide and seek with your anchor charts as this method will allow you to quickly glance at the labels to find exactly what you are looking for–#teacherhack!

3. Laying Flat in a Drawer

Here’s the lowdown on the anchor chart game-changer: the drawer method! Imagine opening a drawer, and there they are – your trusty anchor charts, all neatly tucked in a drawer.

That part is easy, but the one issue I’ve noticed while trying this method is that the anchor charts tend to stick together. Here’s a solution: Grab some freezer paper and chop it into nifty 2-inch strips – trust me, it’s like magic when it sticks to the sticky side of your anchor charts, especially when they’re all piled up! 4. Rolled with Labels in an Under-the-Bed Storage Container

If your classroom doesn’t offer much storage space, this hack will help you out so much! Grab an under-the-bed storage container that can be easily stored under your classroom furniture or above your cabinets.

No more hunting for the correct chart; just a smooth slide-out, and there they are, ready for action.

This is actually how I store my anchor charts, and honestly, it’s worked well over the past 8 or 9 years!

5. Magnetic Curtain Rod

I have a #teacherwin for you! A magnetic curtain rod is a game-changer for storing and organizing anchor charts! Just slap that bad boy on your whiteboard or any magnetic surface, and suddenly, you’ve got a sleek display space for all your visual wonders. No more fussing with tape or fumbling with hooks – it’s quick, easy, and adds a touch of classroom chic.
