So excited in fact, that I made it last ALL.SUMMER.LONG! LOL!
Here’s the L.D.- I am obsessed with learning about how other teachers “do things” in their classrooms. It never ceases to amaze me how creative and different every teacher can be, even with the simplest of tasks.

That is why I decided to host, “An Apple a Day” Linky.  Now we can share and learn from each other without ever having to leave the couch! SA-WEET!

This week’s theme is classroom decor and I have to admit, my classroom is stuck in a rut.

Don’t get me wrong… I *LOVE* my apple theme… but it needs an update… BAD! LOL!

Here’s the front of my room…

Well I have BIG plans for this little room of mine! I am of course going to keep the apple theme. I am The Applicious Teacher, aren’t I?

But I am going to totally glam up the space with chevron and updated apples!

Here’s the plan:
I’m going totally Schoolgirl Style up in here!

How stinkin’ cute is this set from Melanie???
It is called Primary Apple and it is quite the “classic” classroom look. I am in LOVE with the bright colors and the little worms!
I also want to “spice” it up with some chevron for my classroom labels!!
Chevron is EVERYWHERE.  There are so many great sellers who make chevron themed products. I just need to figure out a color and style and run with it!
I also need to update my largest bulletin board- AKA-my word wall.
I really like the contrast of the black felt against all the bright colors, but I need to update the letter headers and the border.
There are a few things that HAVE to stay, though.
First, my vinyl wall decals.

They serve as the perfect visual for my second graders!
I also love my table numbers…
and this punctuation reference bulletin board
Which is actually just garden lattice that I covered with green fabric and drilled into the wall. 🙂
Everything else can get a total up grade! LOL! I can’t wait to get into my room this summer so I can start workin’ (and past some pics)!
Now, if you are OBSESSED with chevron like I currently am, you have to enter
Melanie’s Ultimate Chevron Giveaway! It ends today! (Sunday)

Be sure to visit the other awesome classroom decor posts that are linked up to gather inspiration for next year!

Don’t forget to stop back by next Sunday for another installment of “An Apple a Day” Linky Party.
