Class Valentine: Mini Pen Valentine’s for the Classroom

Share this post:

Valentine’s Day in the classroom should feel fun, simple, and stress-free, not like one more thing on your to-do list. And giving Valentine’s Day cards shouldn’t feel like an Olympic sport. This year, I wanted to give my 3rd graders something they’d actually like that wasn’t just candy. Bonus points if it wasn’t too complicated to prep. These Ink-crediable Valentine’s Day cards with mini pens were the perfect solution!

Super Simple Mini Pen Valentine’s Day Cards for the Classroom

Making these Valentine’s Day cards for your class is so simple!

supplies to make valentines day mini pen cards for classroom. The Applicious teacher

Supplies:

First, print off enough cards for your class. I suggest white cardstock, but there is a black and white version that works for more festive colored paper if you’re hoping to print at school.

Cut the cards using a paper cutter or scissors.

Then, tape the mini pen to the side.

Ta-da! They are done!

The Mini-Pens Make Them Extra Special

I don’t know about your students, but mine are obsessed with anything tiny. I know the mini multicolored pens will be a huge hit!

They’re practical, fun, and something students can actually use long after Valentine’s Day is over. Not just candy wrappers I’ll have to pick up all afternoon.

You can grab the exact pens I used on Amazon here!

Why You’ll Love These Valentine’s Day Cards

These cards check all the teacher boxes:

  • Print & Go – Just print, cut, and attach the pen
  • Non-Food Friendly – Perfect for allergy-safe classrooms
  • Student-Approved – Fun, colorful, and useful
  • Low Prep – Zero assembling madness the night before- print, cut, and attach!
  • Low cost, easy to source – the best part? I’m not spending a small fortune buying treats and the mini pens are super easy to source thanks to Amazon!

The message on these are also really sweet.

The cards say “You are just… INK-CREDIBLE!” which makes them a great confidence boost and a practical gift rolled into one. I’m taping the mini pen right to the card, making it super easy to pass out to my class!

Not Just for Students

Another great thing about these Valentine’s Day cards is that they aren’t student-specific. Which means you can easily use them to spread a little love beyond your classroom.

Make a few extras for:

  • Teammates
  • Specials teachers
  • Support staff
  • Front office staff

It’s such a simple way to say “thank you” and brighten someone’s day, without needing personalized names or messages.
